The first Stevens County Fair was held in 1873. In 1905, 25 acres of land was purchased from A.C. Peck for $75.00 an acre and the fairgrounds were moved to the present day site. We still have a few buildings in use that were built in the WPA days at the fair today. The fair is held the second full weekend of August and takes place in Morris, MN which is the county seat. Since we are a free gate and free parking fair, we can only estimate how many people come to enjoy. If you visit us on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoon you will see a lot of familiar faces. Most of the fair planning for next years fair starts before this years fair has even started. With the support of the all the businesses, individuals, and the Stevens County Commissioners, the Stevens County Fair is the largest free gate and free parking fair in West Central Minnesota.
The Stevens County Agricultural Society is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization and if you would like to partner with the fair to preserve and improve the fair please consider a donation below.
